As known, every quarter tax authority publishes information on taxes paid by 1000 major taxpayers of Armenia. The list includes only companies’ individual data, nevertheless, by integrating with other databases tax distribution could be interpreted from different points of view. The research made by the specialists of Ameria Management Advisory Service, based on databases of taxservice.am, shows the following:
- in 2016 the 80.1% of taxpayers were from Yerevan, which accounted for 82.3% of the total taxes collected from 1000 taxpayers;
- with the number of companies, the 2nd marz is Kotayk (56), albeit, with the volume of collected taxes – Syunik (5.1% in total), nevertheless, compared with 2015 (8.3%) its share has declined considerably;
- if the 2016 volume of collected taxes compared to 2015 has increased by 3%, by marzes the difference is quite tangible:
- the volume of taxes collected from entrepreneurs of Yerevan city has increased by 6% – more than by 35bln AMD. At the same time, the volume of paid taxes in Syunik region has declined by circa 36%.
Considering the taxes collected from 1000 large organizations by the type of activities, it comes clear, that in 2016 considerable decline has been observed in the volume of taxes collected from the following industries – Mining and quarrying, Information and communication and Financial and insurance activities, which has been compensated with the inflows from Manufacturing, Construction and Trade.
