The United Arab Emirates is interested in investing in Armenia’s agricultural sector, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Hovhannes Azizyan told during the meeting of the parliamentary committee on economic affairs.
In his words, the UAE has invested about $30 million in the Armenian economy. According to the deputy minister, by the end of 2016 UAE investments in Armenia stood at $28.4 million, having increased by $1.2 million since 2017.
“Basically, investments made in agriculture were used to plant fruit gardens,” Azizyan said.
